1、 Prevent burns
During the operation of a resistance welding machine, there may be splashing, especially when the workpiece is uneven (especially when welding high-power workpieces). Therefore, operators should wear protective goggles to prevent burns. When welding short workpieces that require a large amount of energy, the temperature of the workpiece will be very high, which can also burn hands. This requires wearing gloves or using clips. In addition, sometimes sparks can be large, so there should be no flammable materials around or above.
2、 Anti pressure injury (collision injury)
Resistance welding machines must be operated by one fixed person to prevent accidents caused by improper cooperation. The foot switch must have safety protection. The clamping button belt on foreign spot welding machines adopts a double button type, and the operator must press one button each at the same time to clamp it to prevent hand clamping incidents. Multiple spot welding machines are equipped with fences around them, and the operator must exit after feeding, be at a certain distance from the equipment, or start the spot welding machine after doorstep to ensure that moving parts do not collide with personnel.
3、 Pollution prevention
During resistance welding of coated plates or some alloy materials, toxic zinc and lead fumes are generated. During flash welding, a large amount of metal vapor is generated, and there is metal dust during electrode grinding. Therefore, certain ventilation measures must be taken. The most commonly used method for removing smoke or smoke is through filters or smoke exhaust systems.
4、 Anti electric shock
The secondary voltage of a resistance welding machine is very low and does not pose a risk of electric shock. The working voltage is generally within 10V and does not pose a threat to human health.
But because some high-power spot welding machines require 380V electricity and grounding wires, the power supply must be cut off during maintenance. The welding machine should be placed in a dry and ventilated place. If it is placed outdoors, there must be a protective device against rain and snow to prevent the insulation of the welding machine from being lowered or damaged, which may cause electric leakage.
